The Inline Hockey Series is a professional men's inline hockey league in North America. Founded as a seasonal alternative to ice hockey in 1925, the league grew from an urban recreational competition to an international league composed of 38 teams, 36 in the United States and 2 in Canada. Each IHS season is opened by a preason in the final two weeks of March where all teams play several not-on-the-record exhibition games before beginning the "regular" season from April to September. At the end of each season, a four round best-of-seven elimination tournament is held and the winner, the annual league champion, is awarded the Muldoon Cup. The league is headquartered in the Labor District of Seattle, Okanagan.
